Meet Timofei Vasilevskii, a 22-year-old AI engineer who’s changing the game in the insurance industry with his new platform, Strala. This new platform rewires and restructures the complex and confusing data manufactured through insurance claims and includes the latest advancements in AI reasoning technologies to greatly improve operational efficiency. Vasilevskii, Strala’s first technical hire, leads all design and engineering efforts. His vision is to create a pipeline that shakes up the dusty old data platform of yesteryear, replacing it with a whole new ecosystem.
Vasilevskii’s work centers on developing systems that automatically take full workflows. So his genius lies in turning the messy, complicated world of real-life insurance customers into the sophisticated pattern-matching powers of artificial intelligence. He imagines a future where, instead, AI agents take on the role of more competent teammates. This method is going to streamline the claims processing process and make it faster and more accurate.
Bridging Chaos with AI
Strala’s platform remedies the inherent inefficiencies built into the insurance industry. Legacy processes can be time-consuming and heavily dependent on human resources, resulting in slowdowns and a frustrating experience for insurers and customers alike. Vasilevskii’s platform aims to change that paradigm.
“It bridges messy, real-world insurance inputs with the reasoning capabilities of modern AI,” – Timofei Vasilevskii
Strala’s agents use an evolving memory, as with player progress, but it stores context for long-running workflows. This enables them to autonomously orchestrate activities and respond to in-the-moment realtime changes around them. This innovative solution enhances communication to a new level by intuitively embedding technology into routine operations. It turns tasks that used to take days or weeks into repeatable, efficient and scalable workflows.
Vasilevskii emphasizes the potential of this technology to reshape the industry:
“Observing the inefficiencies of the current industry standard processes is what makes me think that we’re building a game-changing technology.” – Timofei
A Strong Foundation in Technology
Vasilevskii has an excellent technical pedigree, having graduated from one of Eastern Europe’s top technical universities, Kazan State University. His being educated at the Yandex School of Data Analysis deepens his talent in the tech field. Prior to Strala, he held engineering roles across the finance and developer tools space. In the meantime, he had honed his skills in writing infrastructure as code and improving agents to interact with APIs.
At Strala, he defines product vision and strategy, engineering culture as well as leads product discovery by conducting interviews and roadmap discussions hands-on. It’s his highly specialized technical expertise that makes him stand out. Along with his clearly defined strategic vision, he’s at the helm of development for the insurance market’s most agentic AI solutions.
Redefining Collaboration Between Humans and Machines
Strala’s platform goes beyond just improving operational efficiency, though — it aims to fundamentally reshape how humans and AI work together. Vasilevskii clarifies that the intention is to develop agents capable of running systems and orchestrating tasks end-to-end. These agents will co-work with humans as needed.
“Strala’s platform builds agents that conduct systems, manage tasks end-to-end, and collaborate with humans when needed. It’s closer to having a capable teammate than a passive tool.” – Timofei Vasilevskii
This new collaborative approach allows AI to handle the tedium. At the same time, humans should be able to focus their efforts on higher-level decision-making, which will boost productivity for all.
