Victoria’s Secret has shuttered its U.S. website, at least temporarily, as it investigates a security incident that has not yet been publicly detailed. The intimate apparel brand has confirmed that various in-store services will not be offered while the temporary ban is in place. Its physical store locations, including those under the PINK brand, are still open for business.
On May 29, 2025, an employee of Victoria’s Secret called to report the incident. To protect their customers, they preemptively put that precautionary measure in place. It’s unclear whether any staff have been infected, but a statement uploaded to the company’s website warned shoppers that services were stopped “as a precaution.” The lead statement stressed that the team has been working around the clock to return things to normal.
Our crews are working 24/7 to get the impact of this event restored and back to normal, the message read.
Despite the glitch, the retailer assured that its U.K. website had no problems, meaning customers in that part of the world continued shopping online without disruption. All customers in the U.S. are hurting right now, as customer care services evaporate overnight.
Consider how the unavailability of key in-store services has affected customers wishing to return online orders, especially large bulky items, in person. Victoria’s Secret has recognized this disruption and is making a reasonable effort to complete orders received prior to Monday. To make it easier for customers impacted by the delay, the company plans to increase return windows and select direct mail coupon offers in the U.S.
Victoria’s Secret has been elaborating on its customer FAQ page Wednesday evening with additional details, so check back for more clarification on what’s exactly happening. The retailer has not, as of Friday, given an estimated date for when its site will be restored.
