Tori Spelling Reveals Unusual Water Aversion in Candid Podcast Episode

Tori Spelling, the renowned actress and daughter of famed TV producer Aaron Spelling, has opened up about her unusual aversion to water on her podcast, misSPELLING. This revelation came during an episode dedicated to exploring her peculiar relationship with water. Spelling, who claims her body is comprised of 75 percent water, detailed how this aversion has led to significant health issues, including two hospitalizations for fainting.

The origins of Spelling's water aversion trace back to a troubling incident with her ex-husband, Dean McDermott. She recalled a moment when McDermott took an unusually long time to fetch her a glass of ginger ale, leading her to suspect it was poisoned. This suspicion marked the beginning of her avoidance of liquids.

"First of all, I don't drink water, which, if you know me, you know me, and you know that's just crazy weird."

Spelling has been candid about her aversion for some time, initially revealing it on her podcast in April. Despite the importance of hydration, she finds herself unable to consume water, describing it as "crazy weird." The actress humorously noted that being Aaron Spelling's daughter might mean she should be accustomed to water, joking about the extensive use of water on TV sets.

"I mean, I'm Aaron Spelling's daughter. Hello! The creator of drama-rama storytelling. Hello!"

In an effort to understand the roots of her aversion, Spelling revisited childhood memories. She recalled her mother, Candy, crushing baby aspirin into Coca-Cola before giving it to her, which could have contributed to her distaste for liquids.

Throughout her career, Spelling has had several interactions with water, including a memorable scene in "Beverly Hills, 90210," where her character was accidentally pushed into a pool. More recently, she spent weeks on a pontoon boat while executive producing a film and is set to return to Lifetime with "Abducted in the Everglades," a thriller that takes place in the watery Florida swampland.

Despite these professional engagements with water, Spelling remains steadfast in her personal aversion. Her podcast continues to serve as a platform for sharing personal experiences and insights into her life.

"Most likely because I was dehydrated, because I hate water. I don't drink water."
