Todd and Julie Chrisley to Share Their Story in New Reality Show After Presidential Pardon

Todd and Julie Chrisley, former stars of the reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” are set to make their return to television with a new show titled “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” which is scheduled to premiere on September 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. This comes after the couple’s extraordinary fight in court. In 2022, they were found guilty of bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion.

In June 2022, reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty on all counts after being investigated for bank fraud and tax evasion. Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison and will serve 16 months of probation. Julie Chrisley received a seven-year prison sentence and is to serve an additional 16 months of probation afterwards. They spent a little more than two years each in federal prison before receiving commendations from President Donald Trump in May.

Additionally, right before their release, the appeals court upheld their convictions. Today, the Chrisleys are turning their attention to their new reality show, which will consist of eight episodes. Todd Chrisley can’t wait to give the public his side of what really happened. He thinks the upcoming show will provide him with the ideal stage to accomplish that.

“Those are the people that have not dug into the case.” – Todd Chrisley

The couple’s responses to fans since their release have been a mixed bag. Despite the mixed reviews received so far, Julie Chrisley pointed out that most people who come up to her have been quite upbeat.

“The ones that I interact with that come up to me, they are lovely.” – Julie Chrisley

The new series promises fans an insider’s look at the Chrisley family’s new life post-prison. Join us as they deftly thread the needle on their comeback to public life. Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, spilled some tea on their former reality show. She added that “Chrisley Knows Best” was actually much more staged than the audience ever knew, even after its ten-year long run.

The Chrisleys’ return from a brush with the law back into the media glare marks a remarkable turnaround in their fortunes. And of course, they’re looking forward to – pun fully intended! – diving into this new adventure. Their aim is to break through to their constituents and share the stories of their struggles and strength.
