“The Hunting Wives” Returns for a Gripping Season 2 in Maple Brook

The highly anticipated second season of “The Hunting Wives” is set to return, drawing fans back to the fictional town of Maple Brook. This popular series, inspired by May Cobb’s 2021 bestselling novel, follows the life of Sophie O’Neil, portrayed by Brittany Snow. Sophie and her husband, along with their young son, have recently relocated to East Texas from Boston. Now, she’s in over her head, embroiled in a deadly web of obsession, seduction and murder.

The first season of “The Hunting Wives,” released on July 21, became an instant hit with viewers. The series topped the new global English Top 10 TV List for five consecutive weeks. In its first release window, it received more than 20 million views! Between its riveting story line and complex characters, Squid Game captured the collective imagination of the world and as such, has been renewed for a second season.

During the second season, the relationship between Sophie O’Neil and socialite Margo Banks, portrayed by Malin Akerman on the show, is put to the ultimate test. As the rest of the season plays out, they start “on the outs,” but past secrets—and present-day enemies—force them to join back up. As they both play their deadly chess match, audiences will have to ask themselves who’s the true hunter and who’s the true prey.

Rebecca Cutter, the show’s showrunner, said she was thrilled that the show was renewed for a third season.

“I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, bats
