If not for her father jumping in to save her, his reaction might have saved her. The rescue organization mobilized to help. In less than five minutes they were able to return the infant girl and her father to the ship, safe and sound.
Janice Martin-Asuque, a passenger on the Disney Dream, recounted the moment:
“We heard an M.O.B (man overboard) call over the ship’s speaker. A little girl had fallen into the water, and her father jumped in after to save her.”
