Several people were attacked with a knife on a packed passenger train at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire county, England, Saturday morning, November 1, 2025. The British Transport Police (BTP) received reports of the incident at 7:39 p.m. local time (3:39 p.m. ET) and promptly responded to the scene.
The premeditated violent stabbing attack on the victim had disastrous repercussions, plummeting emergency rescue services on the East Coast Mainline into disorder. Witnesses described watching multiple victims, though details about their conditions are still pending. The reason for the stabbings was not yet clear at this early stage of the investigation.
In the police response to the attack, officers pursued two suspects through the venue and arrested them at the scene before taking them into custody. Their identities have not been released, and officials continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the shooting.
The attack resulted in significant damage, disruption and disruption along the entire route of the London North Eastern Railway (LNER). All four lines at Huntingdon station were blocked, impacting close to a hundred different train services and thousands of passengers.
