Speculation Grows Over Contestants for Upcoming Series of Strictly Come Dancing

Fans eagerly await the new season of BBC’s beloved dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, as speculation swirls about potential contestants. The six-part series debuts in a few short months, and anticipation is running high. Tom Parker Bowles and Zara Tindall are quickly becoming frontrunners for those coveted spots on the dance floor.

Strictly Come Dancing producers have apparently been in touch with Tom Parker Bowles. He’s said to be first on their wish list to fill the vacancy at the top of this year’s lineup! Bowles, 50, who was a finalist last season but opted to not enter the race, fans and critics alike are lighting up the airwaves over his likely appearance. It’s particularly exciting because his mom, Queen Camilla, is an avid supporter of the program! We’re pretty sure she would be overjoyed if he agreed to participate.

Zara Tindall’s Cryptic Moves

Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne, is among the rumored contestants this season. Here’s what you might have missed. Speculation intensified when she teased the T word in a cryptic social media post. It implied that she could be attached to the series. Adding fuel to the fire, Tindall last week had a crash course in some basic moves from Strictly professional dancer Johannes Radebe.

Zara’s husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall, has even gone on record as supporting her participation. He has cut a rug with Anton Du Beke in strict ballroom hold. This really shows the royal family’s dancing spirit! Mike expressed confidence in Zara’s abilities, stating, “I always said she would be great on Strictly!”

Other Contenders and Royal Interest

Parker Bowles and Tindall are already making headlines as possible contestants. Former reality star and social media sensation Stacey Solomon was the first to admit she has no rhythm, but she wanted in on the fun of competition.

“I would never say never, but I am a terrible dancer, an absolutely terrible dancer. I don’t know why, but I have no rhythm when it comes to movement.” – Stacey Solomon

Queen Camilla has expressed her wish to be able to dance, sharing that she dreams of tap dancing.

“I would love to do it because I’ve always wanted to tap dance. So in my dotage perhaps it’s something I could take up.” – Queen Camilla

The royal family’s connection to Strictly Come Dancing adds an intriguing layer to the show’s upcoming season. Mike Tindall shared that he did not seek approval from the royal family before joining I’m a Celebrity last year. Rather than making the alternative decision because it would have been courteous, he chose to not tootle. And he shared the advice he got from Prince William before his reality TV adventure.

“You don’t want to upset anyone. I spoke to the Prince of Wales about it and he said ‘Great, go have fun’.” – Mike Tindall
