Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster Join Prestigious King’s Foundation as Ambassadors

Sir Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster, have been unveiled as the latest celebrity ambassadors for The King's Foundation. Founded by Charles, then the Prince of Wales, in 1990, the foundation is dedicated to promoting harmony between humans and the natural world, a philosophy dear to the King's heart. The couple's involvement marks a significant moment for the organization, coinciding with Sir Rod Stewart's 80th birthday celebrations.

The King's Foundation, based at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, aims to create a sustainable future by fostering understanding and relationships between people and the environment. It offers various programs, including a Health and Wellbeing Centre on the Dumfries estate that supports perimenopause programmes and community-building initiatives. Penny Lancaster, who is also the patron of Menopause Mandate, values the foundation's emphasis on community and green space access.

"We are so pleased to be coming on board as ambassadors for The King's Foundation and look forward to lending our support to this worthwhile cause, particularly during such a significant year for the charity." – Sir Rod Stewart

Sir Rod and Penny join an illustrious list of high-profile ambassadors such as David Beckham, Sienna Miller, Alan Titchmarsh, Sarah Beeny, and Patrick Grant. Celebrity supporter Naomi Campbell is also associated with the foundation. This growing list of ambassadors underscores the widespread support for The King's Foundation's mission.

The foundation's Vice-President is Lord Snowdon, the King's maternal cousin. The organization recently hosted an inaugural awards ceremony at St James's Palace, where Sir Rod Stewart humorously acknowledged fellow ambassador David Beckham.

"As a volunteer special constable, the Foundation's approach to building communities – and how access to green spaces can help build better, healthier places – is particularly important to me." – Penny Lancaster

Penny Lancaster's commitment to community-building aligns seamlessly with The King's Foundation's objectives. Her passion for creating healthier spaces through environmental access highlights the charity’s ongoing efforts to encourage sustainable living practices.
