Renovations at Bucklebury Farm Unveiled as Pippa Middleton and James Matthews Make Changes

Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews are undertaking significant renovations at their family home, Bucklebury Farm, located in Berkshire. They purchased this beautiful 150-acre estate through an off-market sale. It functions both as their residence and an ongoing construction project that exemplifies their vision of modern living for the couple and their soon-to-be three children.

The magic couple abandoned their luxurious five-storey Chelsea home, valued at £17 million. Now, they’re taking their newly-acquired home and turning it into a child-friendly oasis. Their kids—Arthur, six, Grace, four, and Rose, three—will reap the rewards of all the progresses for years to come. Most noticeably, the former outdoor kitchen has now been remade into a swimming pool, offering a private recreational area to the family.

Sir Terence Conran, the legendary designer and creator of the original “kitchen at Bucklebury Farm. He bought the property in the first place back in 1971 when it was run down and restored the home. The existing kitchen—still a stunning focal point of the home, designed by the legendary Conran & Partners—was inflicted to the original rear addition.

Not only will the kitchen renovations dramatically change what travelers experience, plans are afoot to remove an ugly 1970s addition that sullied the Estate. This demolition aims to “enhance the arrival experience in a manner commensurate with the building’s significance,” according to Richard Eden from the Mail. The couple plans to introduce a new kitchen and create a garden room, described as “a desirable feature of contemporary living.”

Bucklebury Farm is looking into opening an alternative education nursery for children aged nine months to five years old. Such an initiative would ensure that estate offers much-needed care and early education to families in the area, deepening the estate’s integration into Cambridge’s local community.

Friends Pippa Middleton and James Matthews are all in on their investment in their Berkshire home. Their efforts combine the needs of their own family with a commitment to increasing the historic value of Bucklebury Farm.
