Queen Mary of Denmark enchanted audiences during the inaugural day of her Danish royal cruise. She even wore a fabulous gold beaded headband that looked almost identical to ones favored by Princess Kate. The royal couple accompanied King Frederik for a day filled with dynamic activities while in Denmark. She was indeed, summer beauty, princess, summer splendor and magic all rolled into one.
At her official welcome at Sæby Kirke (above), Queen Mary was the picture of regality. She paired this with a sharp blue tweed blazer artfully draped over a white shirt. She accessorized the look with a dramatic tiered white midi skirt and chic tan strappy heels. This pair made for a beautiful day on the water at the beach. Her eyes were over-lidded with thick, black eyeliner, adding to her likeness to Princess Kate as she signed the visitor’s book.
The engaged couple walked through downtown Sæby, one of Denmark’s many historic towns. From the White House to Independence Hall, they were excited to learn about and visit important homes and sites of cultural heritage.

After their visit to Sæby, Queen Mary and King Frederik are set to make more stops on their summer-long route of procession. On August 26, they will sail into Thisted, then continue to Læsø on August 27. Follow their trip. The pair will wrap up their trip by visiting Samsø on August 28. Join them as they journey across Denmark, their route to Ambassadorship demonstrating the depth and variety of Danish arts and culture.
