PSG Stuns Man City with Epic Comeback; Real Madrid Dominates Salzburg

In a thrilling night of Champions League action, Paris St Germain (PSG) delivered a stunning comeback to triumph over Manchester City with a 4-2 victory. Despite being two goals down, PSG turned the match around, leaving City in disbelief as they dropped to 25th in the table, one spot below the playoff qualifying positions. Meanwhile, Real Madrid displayed their European prowess once more, securing a commanding 5-1 win against RB Salzburg, ensuring they will not face elimination at this stage.

PSG's remarkable comeback saw them climb to 22nd in the standings, with Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves, and Goncalo Ramos all finding the net. The turning point came in the 78th minute when City struggled to clear Vitinha’s free kick, allowing Neves to head home and give PSG the lead. Ramos sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal, capping off a memorable performance at the Parc des Princes.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, got back on track after suffering defeats in three of their first six games. Los Blancos' victory over Salzburg left them 16th in the table, just a point behind Bayer Leverkusen in eighth place, securing direct qualification to the last 16. The Santiago Bernabeu witnessed an impressive display from Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, who both scored twice. French superstar Kylian Mbappe also found the target in a ruthless performance.

Madrid's path to victory was not without challenges. Salzburg started with determination, pinning back Ancelotti’s side. However, Rodrygo’s opener after 23 minutes shifted the game's dynamic. Despite their early pressure, Salzburg only managed a consolation goal through Mads Bidstrup's volley.

Vinicius Junior continued his sensational form with another goal following a slick team move initiated by Fede Valverde. Luka Modric's fine pass set up Vinicius for Madrid’s fourth goal, showcasing the team's attacking capabilities.

Carlo Ancelotti's team now faces crucial upcoming fixtures after encountering pressure from defeats by Liverpool, AC Milan, and Lille earlier in the competition. Nevertheless, their performance against Salzburg demonstrated their resilience and determination to advance further in the tournament.
