Production Begins for Highly Anticipated Devil Wears Prada Sequel

Fans of the original film should be delighted to see familiar faces in the mix, with some new ones joining them as well. The next installment is currently scheduled for May 1, 2026.

Meryl Streep, who took on the role of ostentatious Miranda Priestly in the first film, has her audiences still under her spell. The character runaway cultural sensation, celebrated for her cutting humor and catchphrases. Streep’s performance, alongside Anne Hathaway as aspiring fashion editor Andy Sachs and Emily Blunt as the ambitious assistant Emily Charlton, created a dynamic trio that resonated with viewers worldwide.

The initial film, which was an adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name, became an instant classic. Set against the backdrop of Man Repeller’s wittily subversive style, ambition, fashion, and the high-stakes world of publishing resonated with many. Notable cast members from the first film included Stanley Tucci, Simon Baker, and Adrian Grenier, who contributed to its success.

Returning for the sequel, audiences will already recognize Kenneth Branagh. He’s set to play Miranda Priestly’s husband. Her extraordinary addition promises to open up bold and exciting new dimensions of the already much loved story.

One such line delivered by Miranda Priestly encapsulates her character’s trademark sarcasm:

“By all means, move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me.” – Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep’s character)

Production has officially begun, and excitement is through the roof! Fans are understandably eager to return to the glamorous, sordid world that so dazzled an audience more than ten years ago. The returning talent teams up with a handful of new cast members to create most of that original film’s magic. Together, they’ll explore new stories in and behind the fashion world.

“Can you please spell, ‘Gabbana’?” – Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway’s character)

>With production now underway, excitement builds for what promises to be a continuation of the glamorous yet challenging world that captivated audiences over a decade ago. The combination of returning talent and new cast members aims to rekindle the magic of the original film while exploring fresh narratives within the fashion industry.
