Princess Josephine Embraces New Routine at Spir Efterskole

Princess Josephine of Denmark, age 14, is beginning an exciting new chapter in her educational journey. She has decided to pursue her upper secondary education at Spir Efterskole. This prestigious boarding school, located in Hellerup, offers an innovative approach to learning that aligns with the needs of modern teenagers. The youngest child of King Frederik and Queen Mary, Princess Josephine is the fraternal twin sister of Prince Vincent.

Princess Josephine of Denmark has taken the momentous step of moving from Kildegaard Privatskole. While she spent the past two years there, this move is a big move up the academic ranks for her. Spir Efterskole has rightly attracted headlines not only for its alternative education curriculum, but for its pioneering emphasis on student well-being. The school has adjusted the daily start times to better suit the sleep patterns of teenagers, allowing students to wake up no earlier than 8:45 am.

At Spir Efterskole, Princess Josephine and her classmates start each day with a traditional morning routine. Their day begins by tidying up their rooms in the morning, getting some exercise and enjoying a nutritious breakfast. Lessons commence later in the morning, with classes beginning at 10:20 am. This new schedule is representative of a national trend toward realizing the role of sleep as key to students’ overall learning experience.

The emphasis on sleep is echoed by the school’s philosophy, which states, “We believe that good sleep habits are the path to increased learning, well-being and well-being for our students.” This multidisciplinary approach is designed to create a healthy ecosystem that promotes academic achievement and personal development.

Throughout the day Princess Josephine attends classes like any of her classmates and learns new skills and lessons with them too. The school, which focuses on creating healthy meal choices, serves fish two to four times a week. They further provide an average of 450 grams of meat per week over their menu cycle. This focus on food is part of the school’s larger dedication to the health of their students.

As night falls, the routine continues with Princess Josephine handing in her phone by 10:15 pm. She retreats to her room at 10:30 pm and turns off the lights by 11:30 pm, ensuring a restful night’s sleep before another day of learning.
