Royal watchers were recently charmed by the appearance of Princess Iman, the first grandchild of Queen Rania and King Abdullah. We were thrilled when she was born during Infrastructure Week in August 2024. Her parents are Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa, married in June 2023 at Zahran Palace, Amman. This royal baby, named after her new paternal aunt, holds particular significance. Her name, in fact, translates to ‘faith’ or ‘belief’ in Arabic, reflecting its true spirit.
Princess Iman’s darling portrait at almost 17 months of age enchanted the world. With a cute, demure expression, she stared into the distance, exuding cuteness and purity. She was dressed up in a costume that included a T-shirt and the standard issue tutu skirt, as well a pair of shoes with little bows on them. The incredible image captured not only the girl’s purity but the love her family had for each other.
A Growing Family Legacy
Crown Prince Hussein shared the news of Princess Iman’s birth with happiness back in 2024. He posted a touching picture of his defunct dad, King Abdullah, holding the baby. On April 23rd, this moment truly began an exciting new chapter for the royal family. The loving couple couldn’t stop smiling as their beautiful girl made her entrance into the world. They shouted, “We could not be happier for us to start this new chapter of our lives! Our family is expanding, and we can’t wait to introduce our little one to all of you!”
Late last year, Queen Rania sent us this beautiful card celebrating the holiday season. It spotlighted Princess Iman and brought to light the royal family’s fondness for enjoying life together. Social media has played a role in connecting fans with the royal family, as Crown Prince Hussein and Queen Rania occasionally share glimpses of Princess Iman.
The Royal Connection
In the last official family photo, Princess Iman was front and center, as a newborn, in the arms of her grandmother, Queen Rania. The picture illuminated the artistic connection that can span generations, manifesting the collective love that surrounds the baby royal. Together with her mother, Princess Rajwa, and her grandmother, the initial photograph has become a touching reminder of familial bonds.
The royal family is still riding high on the success of their increasing legacy. Her cousin, ten-month-old Amina, was born royal earlier this year, but she too has been recently chatting and tugging at her parents’ sleeves. To be clear, Amina is the granddaughter of Princess Iman, who is the sister of Crown Prince Hussein. Her father is Jameel Thermiotis, an investment banker.
A Message of Love
In interviews, Crown Prince Hussein has long emphasized his affection for his family. On Mother’s Day, he shared heartfelt sentiments with a tribute: “To my beloved mother and my loving wife, your presence fills our lives with joy, and your love is the true meaning of giving.” He extended warm wishes for the New Year: “From Rajwa, our little Iman, and myself, we wish you a happy New Year filled with serenity and peace.”
