Prince Archie, the eldest child of Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle, celebrated his sixth birthday on Tuesday. In celebration of this milestone, his parents organized a fun birthday bash at their Montecito residence this past weekend. It was a stark contrast to the royal family across the pond, the celebration evoking a cozy familial feel.
In the most baby-boomer-ish of gestures, new grandma and gizmo addict Meghan Markle posted the first pictures of Archie on Insta. As he died, he stared into the most gorgeous orange sunset. That one photograph really helped encapsulate the beauty of that moment and his whole upbringing as a kid.
“Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie!” – Meghan Markle
Markle spoke of how thankful they were to see the outpouring of love and support for their son. She remarked, “Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?”

The occasion celebrated the Diana Award’s Pledge To Invest campaign. This was one of many efforts under this initiative to raise awareness and advocate for the importance of youth leadership.
Prince Harry joined Dr. Tessy Ojo CBE, the CEO of The Diana Award on stage during a panel discussion at the event. He was accompanied by two incredible young award winners of the Diana Legacy Award. Combined, they underscored the tremendous capacity young people have to make real, positive change in our world.
Prince Harry took a moment to commend the inspiring efforts of young leaders, stating, “Through The Diana Award, I’ve had the privilege of meeting young people who have turned adversity into action. That’s not just inspiring – it’s the kind of untapped potential we can’t afford to overlook.”
He emphasized the proactive nature of today’s youth leaders, saying, “This generation isn’t waiting for permission to lead – they are already doing it.” His closing comments highlighted a key theme for the day — what “fearless leadership” looks like to achieve a brighter future.
In addition, Prince Harry called on all of us to champion young leaders, saying it’s their audacity that distinguishes them. He said, “What sets them apart isn’t just their boldness, but their refusal to settle for the status quo… If we’re serious about a better future, we need to stop underestimating them and start listening.”
The Diana Award, founded in 1999 in memory of Princess Diana. It honors and uplifts young people who are committed to creating real change in the world. Prince Harry and Prince William have both long been passionate advocates for this initiative.
