The pope's health challenges began more than two weeks ago when he was first admitted to Rome's Gemelli Hospital due to a series of lung-related issues, which included bronchitis and pneumonia. His condition worsened on Friday when he experienced a sudden respiratory episode complicated by vomiting. Currently, he remains fever-free and is recovering under careful medical supervision.
