Pedro Pascal made a striking appearance at the world premiere of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” on July 21, 2025, held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. The popular actor, who plays Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, lit up the room and dazzled fans. He made quite an impression in his dapper white coat and colorful polka dot bowtie.
Joining Pascal at the screening were his siblings — Lux Pascal and Javiera Balmaceda. The trio dazzled in front of cameras on the blue carpet at the premiere, displaying their strong family connection. Most conspicuous among the names listed was their brother, young Nicolás Balmaceda Pascal.
Lux Pascal jokingly frenched that she and her siblings are the physical embodiment of the Fantastic Four. She complemented that sophisticated black gown with cutouts created by Gianfranco Ferré to the glamour of the evening. Javiera Balmaceda is Head of Local Originals, Latin America at Amazon Studios. She upstaged her more chic and fashionable siblings with unholy style and flair.
The film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” features a star-studded cast, including Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Julia Garner stars as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. The film, based on the original comics created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, is set to hit theaters on July 24, 2025.
In past interviews surrounding the film, Pedro Pascal has shown an unbridled excitement for the project. He remarked, “As far as the movies are concerned, I think it’s definitely a world that is completely dedicated to the original comics that were published in early 1960s.” He emphasized the importance of family dynamics within the storyline, stating, “A kind of innocence and optimism rooted in family togetherness to tell the story that we can’t do it alone.”
Pascal really explored the nuance of his character. He even articulated the idea that Reed Richards’s massive intellect was something that would crush him without the supportive presence of his family around him. “I think that Reed has such an intense brain, let’s say, that would kind of devour him if it weren’t for the family that anchors him to the world,” he said. He similarly named the lessons about love that Reed learns to be essential. Charles learns these lessons through his interactions with his family and his love, Sue Storm. “And he learns a lot more about love than he does about the universe through his relationships with his family and his partner and his wife, Sue Storm,” Pascal added.
