Nicole Kidman divorce from Keith Urban, ending their almost 17-year marriage. As it turns out, the filing was made on Tuesday, just a day after stories broke that the pair had split. Kidman and Urban, who celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June, share two daughters: Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, aged 17, and Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban, aged 14.
During the direction of the dissociation, Kidman will be used use the role of the chief residential parent on their daughters. Each parent has voluntarily entered into a detailed and consistent arrangement about their visitation with Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Perhaps most interestingly, neither Kidman or Urban are asking for child support from each other, indicating a mutually agreeable split.
The couple has been public champions for each other ever since. Urban was often on hand when premieres rolled out for various Kidman-starring projects, while she was a high-profile face at his concerts. Their partnership flourished with respect for each other’s ideas and skills. Kidman continued to display this love by posting this intimate black and white photograph on their wedding anniversary, writing in the caption, “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️.”
According to court documents, marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences were grounds for their divorce. This news certainly shocked many, as they were considered one of the most loving Hollywood power couples. Urban even honored Kidman during the “49th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Nicole Kidman,” highlighting their longstanding bond.
Kidman has two children, Bella and Connor, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Reflecting on her journey through relationships, someone close to her noted, “Nic pushed through every negative voice — I’m sure even some of her own — and she chose love.”
