Meghan Markle Highlights Community Resilience While Encouraging Daughter Princess Lilibet

Meghan Markle, 44, recently spoke about her dreams for her daughter, Princess Lilibet. Her prescient words, spoken on her 2024 trip to Colombia, were so true. She shared the need to be a role model for her kids. In particular, she underscored the promise of community initiatives, zeroing in on the uplifting work of 15-year-old Avery Colvert and her organization, Altadena Girls. This organization has helped teenage girls who lost their homes in the wildfires sweeping Los Angeles earlier this year.

Markle, a former lifestyle blogger known for her platform The Tig, released a statement of pride in Colvert. She commended his steadfast leadership and commitment to all Californians, especially those affected by the catastrophic wildfires. You always imagined your work becoming this large. And even if it had not, it would have still been impactful and meaningful,” Markle said. She continued, “My goodness, if our daughter turns out to be anything like you, I’ll be the proudest mom.”

As the mother of two young children, Markle wants her children to learn values of compassion and resilience. Their daughter, Princess Lilibet, who turns four next month, has “really found her voice,” her mother added. She’s the mother of Prince Archie, who just turned six last month. Markle has made a practice of spinning stories about her kids in interviews and engagements. This reflects her commitment to nurturing their creativity and thirst for knowledge.

During her recent outing, Markle was photographed pulling Lilibet in a wagon while wearing an Anine Bing jacket at their Montecito home. Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, added to the family scene. She’s all present and accounted for on these big trips with Archie and Lilibet.

Markle’s efforts extend beyond personal parenting. She and Prince Harry have worked hard to foster support in their community after the wildfires displaced hundreds of families. In a statement they released, the couple urged the public to assist those in need by providing shelter and donating essentials. “If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate, and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do,” they said.

Don’t forget to check in with any other disabled or elderly neighbours to make sure they have a way to evacuate. Many families and individuals have been reduced to rubble. Donations of clothing, children’s toys and other necessities will be appreciated. Both the American Red Cross and other nonprofit partners are still on the ground, assisting those in need.
