Meghan Markle Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a Royal Gift

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, marked a special St. Patrick's Day celebration in Montecito, California, with her family. On this festive occasion, she prepared a unique breakfast using a waffle maker that holds sentimental value. The waffle maker was a thoughtful gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II to Meghan's son, Archie. This cherished appliance enabled Meghan to prepare green waffles for the family as part of their holiday breakfast spread.

The story behind this endearing gift dates back to Christmas when Queen Elizabeth II inquired about Archie's desires for presents. Prince Harry shared in a 2021 conversation with James Corden on "The Late Late Show" that they mentioned a waffle maker. The Queen fulfilled Archie's wish, delivering the special present that has since become a beloved addition to their family kitchen.

Meghan and Prince Harry celebrated St. Patrick's Day by enjoying green milkshakes and simple waffles with their children, Archie and Lilibet. The waffle maker, a gift from the Queen, added a royal touch to the festivities. Meghan, who has been focusing more on family outings and her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," expressed her appreciation for these moments of normalcy with her family.

"Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation is," Meghan noted.

The family of four cherishes their shared experiences and the significance of their name. Meghan recently reflected on the importance of the name "Sussex" to their family unit.

"It's our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn't recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children. I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me," Meghan shared.

Meghan's Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan," has been renewed for a second season, allowing her to explore lifestyle themes and share her journey as a woman, mother, and wife.

"As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again — in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn't put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older — is a wonderful feeling," Meghan expressed.
