Lucas Tindall Mirrors Father Mike’s Energetic Spirit

Lucas Tindall, the youngest child of Mike and Zara Tindall, is a ball of energy. His mischievous and boisterous personality is allowing him to make a big splash all on his own! Lovingly named the “Tindall troublemaker,” Lucas is becoming a chip off the old block, just as his dad was. He puts on both his facial expressions and his age-shaping demeanor. His excitable nature has been a source of amusement and pride for his parents, as he displays endless energy and an affinity for sports, likely inherited from his parents' athletic backgrounds.

Zara Tindall, an Olympic equestrian, and Mike Tindall, an ex-rugby player, have passed on their passion for sports to their son. Lucas can frequently be seen relishing as much time as possible in the company of horses — a tribute to his mama’s one-time, accomplished equestrian career. His father, Mike, has given us a great glimpse into his son’s infinite energy and passion for movement.

"You can't stop him. He wants physical contact. He wants to be wrestled. He imagines himself as a ninja, and he just walks around with sticks whacking people." – Mike Tindall

Lucas’s passion doesn’t just stop at sporting events. And with his favorite subject, ice cream, always around to coax him into a less hyperactive state, he gets a break from his busy little schedule. He loves big lifts, which continues to be his elephant tranquilizer — something that’s kept him focused and entertained. At the same time, Lucas’s similarities to his father, in physicality and disposition, become more apparent as he ages.

Mike Tindall has called Lucas just a regular boy, who does best when he’s kept active. And with his rambunctious attitude, he’ll need lots of activity to wear him down.

"He's such a typical boy. You almost have to run him into the ground with exercise, like a dog, otherwise he won't sleep. You're built that way. So, being fully masculine, which a lot of rugby players are, is not a bad thing." – Mike Tindall

Those charming, raucous qualities aside, Lucas has so far been denied his debut official royal engagement. His larger-than-life persona is getting much harder to disguise with each passing year. Commemorating recent birthdays has only served to underscore the continuing parallels between him and his father.
