Lady Louise Windsor’s A-Level Results Remain Under Wraps

Lady Louise Windsor, daughter of the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, has been making her way through university in relative silence. In 2022, she finished A-Levels in English Literature, History, Politics and Drama. Even with these impressive accomplishments, Buckingham Palace has made the very odd decision to withhold Buckingham Palace’s A-Level results. This decision continues a decades long trend of making her academic performance secretive.

At 17th in line to the British throne, Lady Louise has mostly been raised outside of the public eye. This decision is consistent with the way she was raised. She has kept a bit of distance from the royal glare. When she got her GCSE results in 2020, Buckingham Palace didn’t release those results either.

Lady Louise beginning her life at the University of St Andrews. This famous school, known for its high level of teaching academically, most notably in English – pupils are required to get AAA at A-Level. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace confirmed her academic plans, stating, “Having received her A Level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English.”

Beyond academics, Lady Louise is pursuing her ambitions of serving in the military, diplomacy, or law. She’s looking forward to traveling down these thrilling avenues in her exciting future. In her spare time, she is actively involved in the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps (UOTC). There, she participates in military exercises that are the ideal “cosplay” for her. She demonstrates her preparedness and passion for her studies and future profession by getting a summer job at a local garden center. This decision shows her commitment even prior to entering postsecondary in our opinion.

Unlike her cousins, despite her royal lineage, Lady Louise is not likely to assume full-time royal duties after graduation. Rather, she just seems concerned with finding her own path through this new, post-Rahm world. During her time at university, she continues to pursue personal interests such as carriage driving—a hobby she has maintained since childhood. In June, she was bolstered by energetic support from her best frenemy and classmate, Felix da Silva-Clamp. As a team, the two competed together in the Sandringham Festival of Carriage Driving.

As Lady Louise Windsor steps into this new phase of her life, her journey reflects a balance between royal expectations and individual aspirations. Her academic achievements and personal interests signal a future where she aims to define her identity beyond her royal title.
