Lady Louise Windsor Excels at National Carriage Driving Championships with Felix da Silva-Clamp

Lady Louise Windsor showcased her equestrian skills over the weekend at the National Carriage Driving Championships held at the Ashfields Carriage and Polo Club. Horse-back riding isn’t the only equestrian sport the royal enjoys. She kept her elusive new boyfriend Felix da Silva-Clamp company in the running.

On Saturday, Lady Louise ran the course with jaw-dropping grace, all smiles as she crossed the finish line elated. As of the end of the second day of competition, she is in 3rd place overall. She is looking forward now to the final event, the so-called “cones” set, on Sunday. Lady Louise has taken to carriage driving ever since she was taught by her late grandfather. The tremendous physical, mental and creative commitment was clear in her breathtaking performance.

Her son Felix supported her from the peanut gallery. Her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, might not have been in attendance, but their backing was nevertheless palpable. Observers noted his enthusiasm as he filmed her performance and joined the crowd in cheering and clapping for her efforts. Tad, on his part, told NPR he and his wife had a “very nice lunch” together before the event, which underscores their integral partnership even more.

Lady Louise wore a sweater emblazoned with Bagshot Park, her parents’ home near Windsor. This decision brought a whole new level of personalization to her presence at the championships.

An onlooker remarked on their relationship dynamics, stating, “[It’s nice to see them] getting on with their lives without that parental influence.” As it turns out, their pair was super “mindful” about PDA. The public now can at least “know they’re super close.”

Lady Louise Windsor’s journey in the world of carriage driving continues to capture attention, particularly as she balances her royal duties with her passion for the sport. With one event remaining in the championship, all eyes are on her! Her goal will be to raise her profile and produce another solid finish.
