Lady Gaga Shines Despite Technical Glitches at Coachella 2025

That’s right, Lady Gaga 2 years in a row at Coachella and her performance was special enough all on its own to put an end to the streak. The songstress was at the summit to promote her newly released album, Mayhem. She treated fans to recent tracks from her 2022 album, while plunging into her deep catalog of hits. The incident occurred during the festival’s second weekend. True to form, she owned the stage, in her usual dynamic fashion.

For his part, Gaga’s setlist opened with five songs from Mayhem. Participants screened out on tracks such as “Disease,” “Killah,” “Die With a Smile,” “How Bad Do You Want Me,” and “Vanish Into You.” She was nothing short of a showstopper, dazzling the audience with her fresh routines. They loved her classic early hits such as “Poker Face,” “Born This Way,” “Paparazzi,” and “Alejandro.” Specifically, she sang “Shallow,” the show-stopping single from her universally loved flick A Star Is Born.

Even with all the energy of the performance, Lady Gaga faced unforeseen difficulties. During her rendition of “Abracadabra,” her live vocal feed was interrupted multiple times during the first verse. One crew member immediately rushed to help and offered her an individual handheld microphone to use instead of her broken headset. Instead of letting the unexpected situation get her down, Gaga responded with self-deprecating humor and grace.

“At least you know I’m singing live,” she quipped to the audience after the technical hiccup.

The pop star shared her intentions of giving her fans an experience they’ll never forget.

“I’m definitely giving you my best. I love you so much.”

Leading up to her Coachella appearance, Lady Gaga revealed that she would be hitting the road on a world tour in support of Mayhem. See you on the tour in 2025! It’ll be her biggest tour yet, with more than 50 shows in 19 cities, connecting her music with millions of fans around the world.

Lady Gaga then performed her range on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. She was double duty as the episode’s host and musical guest, further asserting her reputation as a versatile performer. It’s pretty cool to see her comeback to Coachella being somewhat of the same landscape career-wise for big stars. She had previously headlined the festival in 2017, following directly her legendary Super Bowl halftime performance.
