Lady Amelia Spencer and her sister, Lady Eliza Spencer, made waves at The Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign Pink Ribbon dinner. They were certainly a commanding sight on October 21st. The event, which honored Elizabeth Hurley for her contributions to breast cancer awareness, showcased not only the sisters’ fashion sense but Lady Eliza’s dramatic new hairstyle.
Lady Eliza Spencer, renowned for her stylish flair, debuted a stunning transformation featuring loose mermaid waves that complemented her vibrant outfit. She was wearing a hot pink, single-breasted blazer suit with flared bottoms and a fabulous roll-neck knit top. The ensemble was completed with heels, a black croc Aspinal of London bag, and a gold pendant necklace featuring her initial.
Lady Amelia went for an old school design. She had her hair down and straight, artfully pushed back behind her shoulders. She selected a pink gown, one that fit the tone of the event perfectly, but had an understated elegance to it.
From the very beginning of the campaign both sisters have turned heads with their astute fashion prowess. They are daughters of Earl Charles Spencer and model Victoria Aitken, sisters to late Princess Diana. Even at 33, they still demand public interest through their choreographed appearances and glamorous wardrobe.
The Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign has done very well. It rigorously supports innovative research and education initiatives that advance the understanding and treatment of breast cancer. Through the campaign, more than $114 million has been allocated to benefit innovative medical research. This investment is key for developing international interest and support for breast cancer efforts.
During the show, Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia left the audience breathless with their beauty. Jack Merrick-Thirlway styled them, and if this is a testament to anything, it’s his mastery of bold, alluring looks. He emphasized the need to tailor hair and makeup methods to the type of event and audience you are working with.
“We’ve done the ones where it’s a little bit fluffy down the face and it works, but for events with the big ball gowns, we generally go slick. I’ll do something quite clever or cool at the back, change the bun shape or make one a bit fluffy, make one really slick.” – Jack Merrick-Thirlway
Just this past month, the sisters found themselves in the news by being invited to the first ever British Museum Ball in London. They surprised us all by changing it up once again! Editors and shoppers alike have consistently lauded their talent for combining current trends with traditional styles. Constance Richardson commented on their choices.
“These looks are a perfect example of how to do tonal dressing. The rich shades of red and pink are powerful and feminine and are within the colour palette that we’re seeing on every autumn/winter catwalk this season,” – Constance Richardson
As advocates for breast cancer awareness and supporters of essential research initiatives, both Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer continue to play significant roles in philanthropic efforts while showcasing their style at high-profile events.
