The hospitalization on Thursday morning came after the monarch was said to be experiencing “temporary side effects” from the royal treatment. This news comes just months after Buckingham Palace’s announcement in February 2024 that the Prince had been diagnosed with cancer. The palace hasn’t clarified what type or stage of cancer it is or what treatment she’s undergoing, only issuing a brief statement confirming her diagnosis.

After a series of health scares, he returned to a somewhat normal flow of public life. On April 30, 2024, he became the first public royal engagement since his diagnosis. He traveled to a cancer treatment center in Atlanta to demonstrate his commitment.
