Keke Palmer
, known for her dynamic roles across various genres, made a memorable appearance at the recent Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. Palmer, who has shown a keen interest in the horror genre as an adult, presented an award alongside Colman Domingo. Domingo was a nominee for his role in “Sing Sing,” adding to the evening’s excitement. This marked 20 years since Palmer first attended the SAG Awards, highlighting her enduring presence in the entertainment industry.

Palmer's admiration for the horror genre is well-documented. She expressed her thoughts on the often misunderstood genre, stating,

"We all have such extreme opinions about horror, but horror is one of the most… It can be so underrated — and I hate the term underrated, because the real ones know." – Keke Palmer

Her enthusiasm for horror is evident in her body of work. In 2019, Palmer captivated audiences with her performance in six episodes of "Scream: The TV Series." A few years later, she took on the role of Emerald Haywood in Jordan Peele's 2022 film "Nope," a story about horse wranglers encountering a UFO. Her involvement in "Nope" was a thrilling experience for Palmer, who shared,

"I love scary stuff, so I was just very excited to see what kind of scary vibe is this that I'm going to get a chance to partake in. And then the real haunting came, which is, 'I'm going to Jordan Peele movie and everybody will see it, so I’ve got to be on point." – Keke Palmer

Palmer's career spans more than just horror. She gained acclaim for her roles in TV series like "True Jackson, VP" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," as well as films such as "Akeelah and the Bee" and "Barbershop 2: Back in Business." Her talent was further recognized with a nomination for her performance in the TV movie "The Wool Cap," where she starred alongside William H. Macy and Catherine O'Hara.

Adding to the glamour of the SAG Awards, Palmer wore a stunning strapless, black velvet dress with black opera gloves. The gown had a rich history, previously worn by fellow actress and horror icon Jamie Lee Curtis at the 1985 American Cinematheque Award Salute.
