Jonas Brothers Reunite with Disney for Festive Comedy Adventure

The Jonas Brothers are returning to their Disney roots with a new holiday movie set to premiere during the 2025 holiday season on Disney+. The working title, "Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie," promises a comedic journey as the trio, faced with mounting obstacles, endeavors to travel from London to New York in time for Christmas. The film is directed by Jessica Yu, and Grammy-nominated writer and executive music producer Justin Tranter will craft original songs for this festive feature.

The Jonas Brothers announced their new venture in a promo that cleverly mirrors a memorable scene from the holiday classic "Love Actually." This nod signifies the film's homage to the beloved movie. The brothers, who signed with Hollywood Records in 2007 and produced hits like "Year 3000," "Hold On," and "S.O.S.," parted ways with the label in 2012. After splitting in 2013, they reunited in 2019, releasing the single "Sucker" and launching a successful tour. Recently, they collaborated with Marshmello on a new track, "Slow Motion."

The production team for the upcoming film includes the Jonas Brothers themselves alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, Scott Morgan, and writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The movie will feature original songs penned by Tranter, adding a musical flair to the brothers' comedic escapades.

The promo video announcing the movie features Nick Jonas humorously echoing one of the iconic lines from "Love Actually":

"No, don't say it! The whole point is you don't say— you let them read." – Nick Jonas

This playful reference sets the tone for what audiences can expect from the film—a blend of humor, music, and a heartfelt Christmas adventure.
