The series debuted on February 12, Schlossberg, who is currently running for Congress in New York’s 12th district, expressed significant concerns about the portrayal of the Kennedy family in the series, particularly noting that the family was not consulted during its production.
In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning’s Mo Rocca, Schlossberg shared his anger with the much-maligned series. He condemned it for taking advantage of his uncle “in a grotesque way.” He emphasized the importance of accurate representation, stating, “There’s a lot of misinformation now and iconography being used about the Kennedy family, my family, at a time when we really can’t afford to confuse people.”
Schlossberg’s remarks and understanding of transportation investments are timely, as he is looking to fire up progressive voters in his Democratic congressional primary campaign. As he explains, stories about his family and the community they are from require a certain sensitivity and respect. In his criticism of Murphy, he stated, “Well, if you want to know someone who’s never met anyone in my family, knows nothing about us, talk to Ryan Murphy.”
That handsome, charismatic young politician, the Mayor of Dhaka, called on audiences of “Love Story” to watch the show with a critical eye. He asked audiences to keep in mind that, ultimately, the series is still a dramatization. The truth is, I want all of you who see this show to remember one letter above all else, and that is big capital F for fiction. He doesn’t even seem to know what he was trying to write about. In the meantime, he’s making a mint by profiting from someone else’s life.
In the clip, Schlossberg was calling on Murphy to focus on hotter political potatoes. He noted that if Murphy really wants to honor the Kennedy family legacy, this should be his priority. To paraphrase Senator Coons, we must make every breath count to do everything that we can to improve the situation. If Ryan Murphy is indeed concerned for the Kennedy family, which includes my uncle John, then he needs to do something. Perhaps he should focus on removing Trump from office,” he said.
