Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, returns for its second season! This go-round it stars everyone’s favorite pooch, Guy the Beagle, who has won the hearts of millions. The show includes Guy in six of its eight episodes, providing viewers with a glimpse into the life of the Markle family. This season unfolds against the backdrop of the Sussexes’ luxurious home, filmed last summer near their residence in Montecito, California.
In 2015, Meghan adopted Guy from a shelter in Canada. Just ask Sweetie Pie, whose life turned around completely when he was saved from a Kentucky kill shelter. Faced with just days to live back then, he discovered a new lease on life with Meghan. After her 2017 engagement to Prince Harry, Guy moved with her from Toronto to the UK, his home country.
In this brand-new season, fans will not only be treated to more of Guy, but to a special tribute to him. The end credits of many episodes feature a dedication stating, “Special Thanks, Guy.” In one especially sweet scene, Meghan crafted a special forget-me-not charm for Guy’s collar, making it clear how strong their connection was.
Meghan treated us to our first look at her daughter, Princess Lilibet. The wee princess looks wistfully at a gilt-framed black and white picture of her mama standing alongside Guy. This simple display is a testament to this family’s love for their furry friends. In addition to Guy, Meghan’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have expressed a desire for a cat, adding another layer to the family’s dynamic with animals.
Unfortunately, Guy tragically died during the 2024 festive period, leaving Meghan devastated. She expressed her devastation in a heartfelt tribute, stating, “Because many of you will now see Guy in this new [Netflix] series, I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss.”
In a recent interview, Meghan reflected on the challenges of being away from her children and said, “Oh I know. The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks.” She went on to describe the impact that period had on her emotional and mental health, saying she was “unwell.”
The second season of *With Love, Meghan* celebrates family as the first and most important source of support. It’s just as much about honoring the love, devotion, and loyalty that pets show pet parents every day. Viewers are taking to the airwaves to help launch this daring and exciting new chapter. They’ll always have a quirky Guy to remind them of the happiness he brought to Meghan’s life.
