Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is back in the news today as he turns six years old! This is the firstborn son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Having grown up in the canine paradise of Montecito, California, Archie has won over dog lovers everywhere with his playful mischief and goofy character.
Most recently, Prince Archie was featured in a cute bear hat with perky ears. He splashed around on a rainy day outside with his dad, Prince Harry. The pair had a sweet interaction while hunkered down from the rain that captured the relationship these two have.
Archie’s new life has been filled with experience adventures from the start, even a snow day in Canada, where Archie learned to enjoy shooting the fluffy stuff. Perhaps one of the biggest draws was his role in the Sussexes’ recent hit Netflix docuseries. He revealed his emerging musical genius by playing piano in front of the cameras.
Beyond these poignant moments, Archie had quite a day out at a polo match with his royal cousins. It was a first high-profile public outing for him, too, at only two months old! He was released from his first slumber by mother, Meghan Markle, and father, Prince Harry, who gazed down at him with unreserved love and admiration.
In addition to Archie’s unexpected journey, he’s able to experience priceless interactions with his loving family. He made a cameo in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2024 Christmas card too. The card perfectly illustrated a sweet scene of him joyfully running towards his mom with his arms spread wide. The card showed a smiling picture of him with his sister, Princess Lilibet. They wore coordinating ensembles and beamed with pride alongside their then-pet pooch Guy, who is now late.
One thing that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can’t stop talking about is how wonderful it is to be parents. Prince Harry once said, “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”
Meghan added her sentiments, stating, “I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
Other than park trips and home quality time, the father-son pair found happiness in observing hummingbirds. This shared interest represents the wholesome pleasures of family life that the Sussexes seem to prefer.
