Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa, fan-favorite members of Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” are taking the next step in their relationship with a major surprise announcement. They’ve mutually chosen to stop being intimate partners. That engagement came in the show’s finale. The messages they posted overflowed with sentiment on their Instagram stories, crowing a beautiful relationship that they’d described as life changing.
Ellis, a self-described day trader and former New Jersey Nets guard, took an audacious risk in the season-ending episode. He rejected Pasquarosa in favour of Litia Garr and wed her. Off-screen, their connection deepened as well. When Megan and Nathan appeared on “Good Morning America” following the accident, both articulated how they felt “lucky” and “blessed.” After months of reflection and discussion among each other, they decided their journeys needed to take different courses.
In their closing remarks, joint speakers Ellis and Pasquarosa emphasized their respect and deep care for one another and featured their own distinctive styles.
“After a lot of honest conversations and reflection, we’ve come to the decision that this chapter of our lives is meant to continue on separate paths,” – Juliana Pasquarosa
Pasquarosa thanked his peers for the experiences they all shared with one another, recalling how their time spent together was rooted in deep growth and learning.
“We shared something meaningful, navigating a unique journey side by side, learning, growing, and showing up for each other the best we knew how,” – Juliana Pasquarosa
She reflected on the kinds of commitment that marriage and life require. In the process, she illustrated the value of knowing when to get out of a relationship that isn’t gonna work long term.
“And while this isn’t the ending we once imagined, it’s one filled with mutual respect, care, and hope for what’s ahead,” – Juliana Pasquarosa
Ellis reiterated these feelings and said that while the separation is painful, he believes it’s for the best for both parties.
“This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly,” – Grant Ellis
He mentioned that he and Pasquarosa had both put so very much time, effort, and love into building their relationship. Ultimately, they started to realize they were “just not the right long-term fit.”
“This chapter is closing, but we’re both walking away with love and respect in our hearts,” – Grant Ellis
Ellis and Wright both described their time on “The Bachelor” as a blessing. They thanked the fans for supporting them throughout their relationship.
“It’s a gift to find someone who sees the world in a way that resonates with you, while also encouraging you to grow,” – Juliana Pasquarosa
In closing, Pasquarosa reiterated their commitment to the decision to separate. They will continue to cheer each other on from a distance.
