Tech giant Google has announced a significant update to its Gemini AI app, introducing powerful image editing capabilities that aim to enhance user experience. David Sharon, Group Product Manager, Gemini apps, announced that the new features started rolling out yesterday. This news was surprising considering the short notice given in a recent blog post.
The new version of the app supports over 45 languages. This expansion brings it to life in new ways, making it available to entirely new audiences all across the world! This initiative aligns with the company’s goal of making the app available in most countries soon, broadening its reach and usability.
When sharing his announcement, Sharon emphasized the user-friendliness that these features will add to Technical Assistance. He stated, “We’re rolling out the ability to easily modify both your AI creations and images you upload from your phone or computer.” This new functionality is aimed at enabling users to more easily and intuitively create and edit images.
As a part of the update, Google shared three example images of a dalmatian with different AI-generated variations. One such photo has its dog lounging on the grass, while in another photo the pup wears a yellow hat. Further, the third image shows the same dalmatian wearing the same hat on a beach. These examples are just a taste of what your newly updated app can do, allowing users to imagine limitless options for creativity and personalization.
With these developments, Google intends for Gemini to become the go-to solution to become a major player in the world of AI-supported image editing. The company intends to expand its language support and availability.
