Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, and his wife, Brigitte Macron, expect to make a state visit to Monaco. This field trip will happen on the ground June 7-8. It is our hope that this visit will further strengthen the deep and abiding connections that have always characterized the relationship between France and Monaco. Their visit will be hosted by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco. This solemn but reassuring gesture is intended to remind all of the proud and abiding friendship between our two peoples.
During their short visit to the United Kingdom the Macrons will be residing at Windsor Castle in Berkshire. This alteration is a result of the continuing refurbishment work being carried out at Buckingham Palace. Further, Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron will make a state visit to the United Kingdom in July of 2025. As you might guess, this visit will be just one stop on a much wider agenda they’re seeking to advance.
Brigitte Macron and Princess Charlene will be highly visible and involved in diplomatic efforts. They are scheduled to participate in a “Water Safety” event, which will focus attention on the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. The foundation seeks to carry on Lizzie’s mission by raising awareness around water safety, making it an especially meaningful undertaking for both women.
Just last week, the Macrons made headlines during their trip to Vietnam. Just before stepping off their presidential plane, Brigitte Macron jokingly slapped Emmanuel Macron’s face. Such moments show the tenor of the couple’s public life together, often seeming sweetly playful and needing to balance fun and frivolous.
The state visit was announced by the Monaco royals on their official Instagram account. This new digital communication served to underscore the importance of spreading the word about these upcoming meetings and engagements.
