Formula One Unveils Exciting 2026 Season with Sustainable Fuel and New Madrid Race

It will consist of 24 races across the world, including a long-awaited debut in Madrid. The new season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8. From there we’ll go on to China and Japan, from where we’ll use 100 percent sustainable fuel with pride, proving our dedication to sustainability in every corner of the championship.

In a statement, Formula One Chief Executive Stefano Domenicali expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season. He remarked on the addition of Madrid to the racing calendar and the participation of major automotive brands such as Audi, Cadillac, and Ford.

“We are excited to welcome Madrid to the calendar, and to see huge automotive brands like Audi, Cadillac, and Ford join the Formula One grid.” – Stefano Domenicali

New for the 2026 season will be six back-to-back race weekends offering fans a truly jam-packed schedule to enjoy.Other big races are the Miami Grand Prix on May 3rd and the Canadian Grand Prix on May 24th .The first European round will take place in Monaco on June 7, allowing teams to showcase their skills on the iconic street circuit.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be hosting races on consecutive weekends in April. This unique and unprecedented lineup is a testament to the thrilling and diverse global presence of Formula One.The season will culminate with a grand finale in Abu Dhabi on December 6, following two triple headers that begin with races in Austin, Mexico, and Brazil.

The new street circuit in Madrid, known as Madring, is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the championship, emphasizing both innovation and competition.Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA, noted the significance of these changes.
