Former Child Actor Remembers First Onscreen Kiss with Jodie Sweetin

Jordan Christopher Michael recently reminisced about his time on the iconic ABC sitcom, "Full House," where he played the mischievous Rusty, the son of Danny's girlfriend, Cindy, portrayed by Debra Sandlund. Michael, who was two years older than Jodie Sweetin, shared young Stephanie Tanner's first onscreen kiss during the show's fourth season. Although it was a memorable moment for both, it was far from romantic. Instead, the kiss served as part of a prank in the episode titled "Happy New Year."

Michael's character Rusty appeared in four episodes of "Full House," with his final appearance in 1991. During his time on the show, he was in seventh grade and was thrilled to join the cast of a series he admired.

"I remember getting the call and being super excited because it was a show I watched, and it was a show I liked," said Jordan Christopher Michael.

The kiss scene between Michael and Sweetin took place when he was just beginning his acting career. Despite being a young actor at the time, Michael did not recall feeling nervous about sharing the screen with Sweetin, nor did he find the kiss uncomfortable.

Outside of "Full House," Jordan Christopher Michael went on to appear in popular shows such as "Saved by the Bell" and "Matlock." He also took part in the TV movie "A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story" and its sequel. These roles helped him build a solid foundation in the entertainment industry.

In recent years, Michael has shifted his focus from acting to directing commercials, music videos, and indie films. However, his connection with Jodie Sweetin remains strong. In 2018, he reunited with Sweetin on her improv comedy series, "Hollywood Darlings." Additionally, he made a guest appearance on her podcast, "How Rude, Tanneritos!," where they fondly recalled their shared experiences on "Full House."

"I think you were my first kiss ever," admitted Jodie Sweetin during their podcast conversation.

The podcast reunion between Michael and Sweetin was relaxed and lighthearted, allowing them to reflect on their time together on set. Michael's experience on "Full House" not only initiated his acting career but also left him with cherished memories.
