ENN Advances Hydrogen-Boron Fusion: A Leap for China’s Energy Future

ENN Group has announced a significant advancement in hydrogen-boron fusion technology, marking a pivotal step in the development of a unique experimental device. This milestone highlights China's growing influence in the field of fusion research, as ENN becomes the first private enterprise in the country to publish a comprehensive series of research findings on this technology. These findings, focusing on the physical design of experimental devices, have been published in the prestigious journal, Plasma Science and Technology (PST).

The publication in PST represents a major achievement for China's private fusion R&D sector. By systematically sharing research results related to spherical torus hydrogen-boron fusion, ENN aims to contribute to global scientific discourse. PST, an internationally renowned journal included in the International Science Citation Index (SCI), has been a key platform for low-carbon and carbon-free energy innovations for over three decades.

ENN's series of papers detail the physical design of an experimental device named "Helong-2." Independently designed by ENN, "Helong-2" signifies a leap forward in fusion technology. Since 2017, ENN has concentrated efforts on hydrogen-boron fusion and now prepares for the construction of "Helong-2," with the goal of achieving internationally leading parameters by 2027.

China's rapid progress in fusion and plasma physics is gaining international attention, as more research results are shared globally. ENN Group, a leader in clean energy innovation, underscores this progress by contributing to an emerging fusion R&D industrial ecosystem that integrates government, industry, academia, and research.

Chinese private enterprises have increasingly focused on fusion research, reflecting the country's strategic commitment to advancing clean energy solutions. ENN Group's series of 13 papers in PST showcases the latest achievements in China's hydrogen-boron thermonuclear fusion research, promoting knowledge exchange within the global fusion community.
