Duchess of Edinburgh Stuns in Stylish Outfits for VE Day and Solo Engagement

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh Thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey. This beautiful postcard, honoring the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, would have delighted her sewing club. She wore a bold cornflower blue dress, the ‘Yahvi’ dress by Beulah. Its distinct, darted fluted sleeve silhouette and flowing skirt make it a true standout. The Duchess finished her outfit with a tailored Emilia Wickstead coatdress, proving yet again her penchant for sophisticated, but modern style.

The Duchess finished her look with an amazing feathered hat by Jane Taylor. She decided to recycle her favorite pink Prada heels for the runway show. Plus, she toted the ‘Luisa’ bag by Sophie Habsburg, which perfectly complimented her sophisticated appearance. Sophie wore her sandy blonde hair down, which gave her a classy look that only added to her beauty.

Coincidentally or not, on the same day, the Duchess debutted a gorgeous new dress. In September, she hosted afternoon tea at the Castle Hotel in Windsor with Royal patronage, to celebrate those women’s achievements. The dress in question, a lovely long silk number that fit her so beautifully, was the ‘Victoria’ style from Aspiga London (£210). The statement dress had a V-shaped neckline, fluted sleeves and a cinched waistline all made out of sustainably sourced cotton broderie. Its leg-flashing skirt provided a fresh slice of drama and sexy silhouette that played expertly with guidebooks as well as fashion admirers.

Earlier this month, Sophie made headlines when she wore a blue polka dot dress while meeting Chelsea Pensioners and participating in a Bingo Night at The Royal Hospital Chelsea. She paired this bright dress with heeled espadrilles, a choice that royal watchers didn’t love.

“The dress is pretty and looks very nice on her. But, all of her espadrilles need to go,” – one royal fan

In April, Sophie was the Reviewing Officer for The Sovereign’s Parade at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. By embodying King Charles, she indeed secured her place on the inner kabal of the royal family.

See why the Duchess of Edinburgh is the talk of the fashion world. She intentionally and artistically develops her wardrobe to carefully mix personal expression with social awareness. Her recent public engagements are a testament to her dedication to the royal role. They point out her amazing sense of style, which keeps the public’s attention.
