Delta Takes Dining to New Heights with Shake Shack Partnership

Shake Shack is elevating the in-flight dining experience by partnering with Delta Air Lines to offer its iconic cheeseburgers on select flights. Starting Tuesday, passengers in First Class on flights over 900 miles departing from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia, and Seattle can savor these gourmet burgers. This strategic collaboration marks a milestone in Delta's efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and commemorate its Centennial celebration.

The newly introduced in-flight menu will include Shake Shack's cheeseburgers served with fresh tomato, lettuce, and ShackSauce, accompanied by chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie. This initiative follows a successful trial launched out of Boston late last year, where over 10,000 burgers were enjoyed by passengers. As part of the celebration, a new Biscoff Sandwich cookie will also be available in First Class.

Expanding Culinary Offerings

Delta Air Lines is not only focusing on its partnership with Shake Shack but also revamping Special Meals menus for customers in First Class and Delta One. These menus cater to various dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring that all passengers have a personalized dining experience. Additionally, Delta is broadening the availability of its popular meatballs from Los Angeles-based restaurant Jon & Vinny’s, previously exclusive to LAX departures, to several new routes.

Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service for Delta, stated that this partnership is just the beginning of several onboard updates planned for this spring.

Uber Eats Promotion for SkyMiles Members

To further engage customers, Shake Shack and Delta are launching a special promotion via Uber Eats. SkyMiles Members who have joined the partnership waitlist or sign up by March 6 will be eligible for a "buy one Shackburger, get one free" offer. This exclusive deal will be pre-loaded to their Uber Eats account and available from March 4 through March 14.

Shake Shack's innovative approach extends beyond the skies as they introduce their first-ever combo meal. Priced at $9.99, the combo includes a fried chicken sandwich, crinkle cut fries, and a small soda. This offer is available at Shake Shack locations nationwide through March 15.

A New Era of In-Flight Dining

This collaboration represents a significant step in enhancing the travel experience for Delta passengers. By bringing high-quality, restaurant-style dining options to the sky, Delta aims to set new standards in passenger comfort and satisfaction. The airline's initiative to incorporate popular brands like Shake Shack into its onboard offerings demonstrates its commitment to delivering exceptional service.
