The Zone is returning to Sleaford this week! This multidisciplinary pop-up arts initiative will connect young people through a dynamic roster of workshops, instruction, and performances. Hosted by Zest Theatre, The Zone will open its doors on Thursday and Friday from 15:00 to 19:00 GMT, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00 GMT. This program uniquely serves youth ages 11-18.
The Hub in Sleaford will serve as The Zone’s base of activity. Look ahead to thrilling musical acts with fresh young voices, groups, and soloists! Dance workshop A free dance workshop will take place—open to all participants over the age of 11. This is an amazing chance to let your imagination run wild! Shug Studios will be joining The Zone to feature local artists performing live for convention-goers.
On Saturday, a teenage market will accompany The Zone, offering young entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their products and services. This entrepreneurial market develops important business and entrepreneurial skills and more importantly gives these young entrepreneurs an opportunity to directly engage with their customers.
The Zone had first visited Sleaford back in June, when it had successfully drawn in more than 250 young participants, taking part in a wealth of activities. The expected homecoming also underscores the Augusta community’s long-standing dedication to creating impactful, life-changing experiences for their young people.
Registration for The Zone is now open, and any young innovators looking to join the fun can do so online here. Richard Wright, Zest Theatre, Overall project lead Richard said the initiative is important in creating connections between young people and their communities.
