Brooke Hogan Writes Heartfelt Tribute to Late Father Hulk Hogan Following His Death

Brooke Hogan, the daughter of WWE Legend and superstar icon Hulk Hogan, has recorded and released a tribute song that will get her pop and wrestling fans teary eyed. He died July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. The song gives voice to her dizzying feelings about their difficult connection. It also paints an intimate portrait of their complicated relationship, particularly after the recent passing of her father.

On the same day as Hulk Hogan’s death, Brooke appeared on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, where she expressed her grief and questioned various aspects of her father’s death and internment. She shared that we buried Hulk Hogan in Clearwater, Florida, two weeks later, in mid-August of 2025. Significantly, Brooke chose not to go to the funeral, given her complicated and stormy emotions about the state of their relationship.

Brooke Hogan’s new song’s heartfelt lyrics cut to the core of her unique past. One line states, “I don’t wanna go back, / ’cause you were my world, / and I was your girl,” highlighting the profound impact her father had on her life. Daddy, come back is another heartbreaking line, representing Mikaela’s desire for her father to return and mend their bond.

Even estranged, Brooke had a close enough relationship with her father to go to him with questions about family history. She began texting him to come and visit her 2 twins. Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, the children she is raising with her husband, Steven Olesky. Sadly, Hulk Hogan never got to know his grandchildren, who were only six months old when he died. What Brooke drew from their experience was a complete lack of desire from him to ever reestablish contact with the family.

In an exclusive and deeply heartfelt interview with PEOPLE, Brooke remembered the lessons learned from their final conversation. Though their relationship was tumultuous, she made it clear that she stood by him and defended him. She disclosed that shortly before his passing, she opened up about wanting out of his will. This outcome brought their fragility into sharp relief.
