Bob Odenkirk Returns in Action-Packed Trailer for Nobody 2

Universal Pictures has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for “Nobody 2,” featuring Bob Odenkirk reprising his role as Hutch Mansell, an unexpected assassin. The action comedy is the follow up to 2021 surprise blockbuster hit Nobody. It’s currently scheduled to be released in theaters on August 15. In the sequel, Hutch looks to make something beautiful from a pretty disturbed set of circumstances. What was planned as an enjoyable easy-going family trip suddenly turns into chaos.

Four years later, Hutch is still recuperating from his first encounter with the Russian mafia. Today, he hopes to enjoy more time with his wife Carol and their two daughters, Kaia and Mira. The Mansell family’s excitement builds when they plan a trip to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway & Waterpark. For Hutch, this idyllic locale is an emotional touchstone, as he explored it with his brother Harry when they were children. RZA is set to take on the role of Harry in this follow-up, bringing an even deeper family connection to the story.

As the trailer goes on, we see that Hutch’s plans for a peaceful retirement are pretty much turned upside down. As much as he would love his own peaceful retreat, there are greater powers that may disrupt the family’s serenity. The film turns out to be a moving portrait of many people. Hanks stars as a small town corrupt sheriff and Sharon Stone plays a lethal city crime lord. John Ortiz as a corrupt theme-park operator adds even more wrinkles to Hutch’s vacation.

In addition to Odenkirk’s central performance, the film features Gage Munroe and Paisley Cadorath as Hutch’s children, who become unwittingly embroiled in the unfolding drama. Christopher Lloyd adds to the family dynamics in the story by playing Hutch’s father.

With “Nobody 2” directed by Timo Tjahjanto, we’re promised a sequel that mixes action and laughs as effectively as its predecessor. The newly revealed one-sheet finds Odenkirk flexing hard in character as his exhilarating Bob-Omb. It foreshadows the trouble that lies ahead for Hutch and his loved ones.
