Netflix is looking to get a huge hit with the second season of One Piece, their live-action adaptation of the world-famous manga series. It’s going to be an epic new season full of great adventures! Set sail on an epic adventure with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates as they follow their dreams towards the Grand Line. Whether they’re new or returning characters, fans can expect to be on the edge of their seats as their favorites battle for survival moving forward.
As for the new season, returning and new characters alike will be part of this ensemble. It looks to broaden the world beyond what was previously built in the manga. Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown Right on her heels, though, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino does remarkable work to fill Alvida with life, making her both monstrous and magnetic. In addition to these fan-favorite characters, a mysterious figure depicted putting out a cigar in promotional materials has sparked curiosity among audiences.
New Characters and Cast Additions
The second season of One Piece will begin introducing climactic characters that interact with our main characters, greatly affecting the events and destiny of the arcs. Tony Tony Chopper, a human/reindeer hybrid, becomes more central as the series goes on. She’ll be joined on her adventures by Dr. Kureha, played by Katey Sagal, who will be mentoring the main character. She serves as one of Chopper’s parent figures.
Dr. Kureha’s outrageous colleague, the revolutionary Dr. Hiruluk, will be featured, as played by Mark Harelik. This dynamic duo will help make it a whole lot more hot. They’ll go toe-to-toe with Luffy and his crew in action-packed stand-offs.
Alongside Chopper and Dr. Kureha, we’ll be seeing Joe Manganiello take on the role of Mr. 0. He’s the head of Baroque Works, a deadly, well-structured crime syndicate that is a massive threat to our protagonists. This villainous cadre features the likes of Mr. 3, portrayed by David Dastmalchian. You’ll meet Mr. 5 (Camrus Johnson) and Mr. 9 (Daniel Lasker).
