Abigail Spencer Reflects on Her Long-Standing Friendship with Meghan Markle

Abigail Spencer, renowned for her role in the legal drama "Suits," shares an enduring friendship with Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex. Their connection dates back to 2007, when they first met during an audition. Over the years, their bond has grown stronger, with Spencer playfully known as "Abby" by Markle. The two actresses not only share a professional history on "Suits" but also a personal one, as Spencer was a guest at Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry and hosted a baby shower before the birth of Prince Archie.

Spencer was recently featured as a guest on Markle's Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," where she candidly spoke about their friendship. Reflecting on their time together, she humorously recounted moments from their interactions.

"I really was dying laughing because she said, 'Kelly and Abigail are coming over,' and then she said, 'You know, Kelly's such a good cook, she's so good, and Abby's got other strengths,' and that is so true!" – Abigail Spencer

In addition to her acting career, Spencer runs County Line Florals, a flower company offering subscription-based deliveries. The company is named in honor of her father, Yancy Spencer III, a celebrated five-time US surfing champion who tragically passed away from a heart attack while surfing County Line at the Malibu/Ventura border on February 14, 2011.

Spencer also highlighted the unique connection she shares with Markle, extending beyond their work relationship. Surprisingly, the two share the exact same birthday, leading them to affectionately refer to themselves as "birthday soul sisters."

Their friendship remains largely private, yet Spencer expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share glimpses of it through the Netflix series.

"We have a very private friendship so choosing to let people in on part of that is… it's very private but I'm glad that we got to share a little bit of it," – Abigail Spencer
