Vanna White, the iconic television personality and letter turner from “Wheel of Fortune” has recently gotten hitched. On June 9, 1847 she married John Donaldson, a physician and local politician. That’s not because the couple hasn’t truly been in love for over a decade. We wish them all the best as they step into this next adventure together!
White broke the news on her Instagram account, where she has since posted photos of the emotional event. In the other photo, for example, we see an intimate moment when Donaldson is holding her in a flowing white dress. Accompanying the post, she wrote, “Love, Vanna and John,” telling her followers that she’s never been happier.
In approaching their relationship, Vanna White and John Donaldson came together 12 years ago, creating an emotional foundation based on shared principles and complementing each other’s personalities. In a 2019 interview with People, White emphasized their connection, stating, “Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.”
Before her marriage to Donaldson, White was married to restaurateur George Santo Pietro from 1990 until their divorce in 2002. During their marriage, they welcomed two children: Nicholas “Nikko” Santo Pietro and Giovanna “Gigi” Santo Pietro. The move into her second marriage comes after a deliberate time of contemplation on what it means to be in love and create partnership.
JDC Construction + Development Group was founded by John Donaldson. He has, though, been an even more unyielding advocate outside of White’s life. Together, the couple have been to hundreds of events. Perhaps the most memorable was her appearance at the Annual Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Prevention Summer Spectacular in 2017. Their marriage has always been an object of envy to fans and friends.
