Prince Harry Hits the Slopes with Nacho Figueras in Aspen

Prince Harry takes on the mountains of Aspen, Colorado, for a refreshing ski adventure. He truly enjoyed getting to reconnect and spend some real time with his good friend, Nacho Figueras. The outing marked a retreat from royal duties and showcased the longstanding friendship between the two, which dates back to 2007. The duo spent time on the slopes for nearly four hours, hitting the powdery slopes of charming Aspen to catch some winter fun.

The trip to Aspen wouldn’t be Prince Harry’s first royal rendezvous in Colorado. Given his dedication to enhancing philanthropic efforts through sports, it’s no wonder that he once hosted a charity polo match there. Given this deep ties to the region, it makes his latest trip all the more poignant.

In addition to Figueras, Prince Harry was joined by several other male friends during their adventures atop the mountains. They shared in the excitement of learning to ski together. The handsome royal sported a matching mauve ski jacket as well, and both men headed out with protective helmets to keep them safe.

After an exhilarating day on the slopes, Prince Harry and Figueras took a break to enjoy lunch at one of the local resort restaurants. You could see their colleagueship in the gleeful way they told and retold funny anecdotes around the shared dinner table.

Prince Harry and Nacho Figueras’ deep friendship has garnered a lot of attention. Figueras was even present at the 2018 royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, emphasizing how deep their bond runs. They’ve played in international charity polo matches from Italy to Singapore. Their preceding event was in Florida in April of 2024.

Prince Harry is a passionate skier. In his recent memoir, “Spare,” Harry writes that he “loved skiing” and had nothing but bravado for his prowess. His fondness for the sport traces back to childhood holidays with his parents, Charles and Diana, in the Swiss resort of Klosters.

“We speak very often, which is amazing to be able to have a friendship that feels like – sometimes we’re not together-together – so it’s always a good thing to be able to share that with someone.” – Nacho Figueras
