This tour is, even apart from the music played, an unlikely and thrilling comeback for the band. It’s been a hard year for them, fighting the good fight through a scandal and bidding farewell to drummer Josh Freese.

In confirmation of this long-awaited return, as a precursor to the upcoming tour, Foo Fighters just premiered a brand new single “Asking for a Friend.” This track is the band’s second single release in 2025, after the release of “Today Song” back in July. Frontman Dave Grohl has described “Asking for a Friend” as “the perfect anthem.” It really engages with everyone who is holding onto hope in difficult circumstances.
