Martin had previously distinguished himself at Boise State University as a paragon athlete. He was subsequently drafted in the first round, 31st overall, by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played six seasons with the Buccaneers, where he earned his place as one of the franchise’s best players. In his first year in the league, Martin rushed for 1,454 yards. He crossed the goal line 11 times, making his first Pro Bowl appearance truly deserved. He followed that up in 2015 with a spectacular year, rushing for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns. This accomplishment was enough to secure him a second Pro Bowl selection as well as a first-team All-Pro designation.
Martin’s dominance was not confined to the ground game. His final numbers in college are astoundingly good with 148 receptions, showing off his great versatility with 1,207 yards, as well as two receiving touchdowns.
