It’s not every day that Omar Bravo, the legendary Mexican soccer superstar, gets arrested. He has now been accused of child sexual abuse, famed for his performances for the national team, and as the joint-top forward for Chivas de Guadalajara. After the Jalisco state prosecutor’s office opened an investigation, authorities discovered severe allegations against Bravo. In 2017 alone, he allegedly raped one teenage girl more than ten times.

Bravo’s rise to prominence began during his time with Chivas de Guadalajara, where he became the club’s all-time leading goal scorer. His remarkable ability on the pitch earned him a place on Mexico’s national team.
